Waters and IMU Biosciences announced a strategic partnership to develop IMU’s AI-powered immune profiling platform using Waters’ flow cytometry and single-cell analysis technologies. The collaboration is designed to connect high-throughput immune phenotyping with AI/ML analytics for immune mapping across discovery, translational, and clinical research. Waters will integrate technologies acquired from its recent deal involving BD’s Biosciences and Diagnostics Solutions business, including BD FACSDiscover Cell Analyzers, BD flow cytometry reagents, BD Rhapsody instruments, and BD Omics-One WTA Next Assay and protein panels. IMU said its multiomic platform generates more than 100 million data points per blood sample, and the company recently closed a $53 million Series A while running programs in transplantation and cancer immunotherapy. Waters and IMU presented system-level immune profiling data at the International Society for the Advancement of Cytometry meeting.
