Researchers at Georgia State University reported that the oral antiviral candidate GHP-88310 blocked transmission of a measles-like virus in ferrets and reduced clinical symptoms. Published in Nature Microbiology, the study found the polymerase inhibitor prevented airborne spread and shortened the infectious transmission window in treated animals.
