RQ Bio raised $115 million in an oversubscribed Series A to advance RQB01, a single-dose antibody therapy designed for broad, season-long prevention of seasonal influenza. The London-based biotech said the program is in IND-enabling studies and targets conserved viral epitopes via a dual mechanism intended to reduce strain-variation risk. Investors included Frazier Life Sciences as lead, with participation from LifeArc Ventures and other firms. Alongside capital for clinical progression, the financing supports development of additional prophylactic respiratory viral disease assets, with a stated goal of delivering on-demand protection for high-risk and immunocompromised populations.
