German neuroscience company HMNC Brain Health closed a $50 million Series B led by Medice and signed a licensing partnership to bring two depression therapies into later-stage development. Medice secured exclusive European commercialization rights for Ketabon (KET01), HMNC’s oral prolonged-release ketamine formulation built for treatment-resistant depression. HMNC said Phase 2 results showed rapid antidepressant effects with reduced dissociative side effects versus existing ketamine approaches. HMNC also said the Series B will support continued development of its precision psychiatry programs, including Nelivabon (BH-200), as it scales European execution through the Medice relationship.
