Deep sequencing from AMP trial breakthrough infections found that prophylactic VRC01 can drive low-frequency HIV escape mutations in roughly a third of treated participants, even as potent antibodies retained broader activity (ID: e0ebef205950b21a). The results sharpen expectations for resistance monitoring in antibody prophylaxis programs. In Long COVID, a randomized phase 2a mechanistic trial reported that monoclonal antibody AER002 was safe but ineffective for Long COVID overall (ID: a51b2889f0b200c3). Post-hoc signals suggested benefit only in patients with low baseline anti-spike antibodies and high drug exposure.
