Akeso and Summit Therapeutics reported new overall survival results for ivonescimab (HARMONi-2), showing patients lived longer than those receiving Merck’s Keytruda in a Phase 3 lung cancer study. The companies also highlighted stronger benefit in tumors expressing higher levels of the PD-1/VEGF targets. In the full trial population, the relative risk of death was 27% lower for ivonescimab versus Keytruda, with median overall survival of 30.8 months versus 22.6 months. In a pre-specified subgroup with high PD-L1, relative risk of death fell by 42%. The data were presented at the World Conference on Lung Cancer in South Korea.
