EMA’s CHMP recommended approval for camizestrant (Etcamah camizestrant) from AstraZeneca in combination with a CDK4/6 inhibitor for ER+/HER2- ESR1-mutant advanced or metastatic breast cancer that has not progressed during first-line endocrine therapy. If adopted by the European Commission, it would mark the first oral SERD marketed as a first-line treatment.
