IMU Biosciences announced a collaboration with UK Biobank and a technology stack that will generate large-scale, high-dimensional immune profiling datasets. The effort is designed to produce more than 100 million immune data points per sample across tens of thousands of participants, beginning with an initial cohort of 80,000 and potentially expanding to the full UK Biobank cohort. The project integrates IMU’s HD immunology platform with Waters instrumentation and focuses on combining high-resolution immune-cell profiling with transcriptomic analysis and AI-based computation. It aims to create an immune data layer on top of UK Biobank’s existing de-identified genomic, imaging, clinical, and lifestyle records. For translational biotech and immunology researchers, the initiative signals continued shift toward foundation-style, multiomic biobank resources intended to accelerate immune-driven disease discovery and biomarker development.
