UCB dedicated its future Rowen, Georgia site for a $2 billion biologics manufacturing campus—the company’s first U.S. manufacturing location. The facility is planned to begin operations in 2032 or 2033 and is designed to support commercial production of recently approved and future biologic medicines using AI, automation, and advanced manufacturing. UCB expects about 330 permanent jobs at the roughly 460,000-square-foot campus. Georgia county incentives and infrastructure commitments, including $174 million from Gwinnett County, were cited as part of the decision-making. The move ties into a broader push to build a Southeastern biomanufacturing hub and strengthens UCB’s end-to-end U.S. patient value chain from R&D through manufacturing and delivery.
