The Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology activated the QUANTUM Trial (Alliance A062401), a new study opening bispecific immunotherapy evaluation in primary plasma cell leukemia, a rare and aggressive blood cancer. The trial is designed through the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology network. The activation adds a new avenue for investigational immunotherapy strategies in a high unmet-need setting where disease biology often limits standard treatment effectiveness. As with other Alliance studies, enrollment and site distribution will be central to whether the study can generate timely, generalizable data. For biotech sponsors and platform developers, the activation is also a signpost of continued momentum in investigator-initiated and network-driven immunotherapy research in hematologic malignancies. The trial’s readouts will be expected to clarify whether bispecific approaches can improve clinical outcomes in a population with historically poor prognosis.
