Thermo Fisher Scientific’s PPD clinical research business has partnered with Datavant to enable privacy-preserving linkage of clinical research datasets to broad real-world data (RWD) sources. Datavant’s tokenization will allow PPD to connect de-identified trial data with electronic medical records across more than 350 partners and 80,000 U.S. hospitals and clinics. Thermo Fisher said the integration will support trial enrichment, recruitment, and advanced evidence generation for biopharma customers, leveraging privacy-preserving connectivity to accelerate real-world evidence while maintaining data security and compliance.
