Thermo Fisher Scientific’s PPD clinical research unit struck a strategic partnership with Datavant to enable privacy-preserving tokenized linkage of de‑identified research datasets with real‑world patient records across more than 350 RWD partners. The collaboration aims to enrich randomized trials, registries, and evidence-generation workflows by retrieving consented electronic medical record data and expanding analytic capabilities for sponsors. Thermo Fisher framed the alliance as a response to rising demand for interoperable RWD to accelerate study design, recruitment, and post‑market evidence generation. Datavant’s encrypted token technology will be integrated into PPD’s RWD infrastructure to support pharma and biotech customers seeking connected clinical insights.
