PacBio and Verily Health announced a multi-year collaboration to pair long-read sequencing with clinical data governance and AI-ready analysis. The agreement connects PacBio HiFi workflows with Verily Pre, with the goal of producing clinico-genomic datasets for research and training deployment of AI models. Long-read sequencing is positioned as a way to improve structural-variant capture, methylation profiling and full-length transcript resolution compared with short-read approaches. Verily Pre’s Workbench environment will be configured to aggregate, analyze and curate HiFi datasets alongside real-world clinical information under governance controls. The companies said the collaboration aims to support studies across neurology, oncology and rare disease and focused on scaling complex biological information into formats usable at population level for AI workflows. Financial terms and timetables were not disclosed.
