IntelliGenome expanded global commercialization for its CRISPR-TB blood assay with new distribution appointments in Taiwan and South Africa. The company’s test is designed to detect Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex cell-free DNA from blood using CRISPR probes, thermostable enzymology, and fluorescence readout. In Taiwan, Yu Shing Bio-Tech will distribute the assay and support regulatory registration with the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration, while a national multicenter clinical validation study led by Taipei Veterans General Hospital physician Jia-Yih Feng aims to generate clinical evidence for active TB detection. In South Africa, Ilex will lead regulatory registration, market development, and scientific collaboration aligned with national TB recovery and strategic plans. The additions come after earlier steps including a Mexico commercialization partnership with CTR Scientific and sanitary registration in Colombia, extending a multi-country rollout strategy for molecular point-of-care scale-up.
