Takara Bio USA and SPT Labtech signed an agreement to automate NGS library preparation workflows by integrating Takara Bio’s SMART-seq chemistries with SPT Labtech’s firefly liquid handling platform. The parties plan to optimize selected SMART-seq RNA-seq workflows first and then expand the offering across additional RNA, DNA and immune profiling kits, aiming to standardize long-read transcriptomics workflows at scale.
