Jazz Pharmaceuticals agreed to a preclinical research collaboration with AbCellera to discover next-generation T-cell engaging multispecific antibodies targeting gastrointestinal cancers and other solid tumors. The agreement includes $56 million in upfront payments plus up to $792 million in option and milestone payments per program if Jazz exercises rights. Jazz will have an exclusive option to develop and commercialize resulting antibodies, leveraging AbCellera’s TCE platform that covers discovery through clinical manufacturing enablement. The companies plan at least two initial discovery programs, with a third discovery committed within 12 months. The deal reflects continued emphasis on expanding TCE libraries into solid tumors beyond the most validated blood-cancer contexts, with next steps expected to be dominated by translation of preclinical potency and tolerability signals.
