Multiple Nature Biotechnology reports described a hemodynamics‑driven magnetoelastic vascular graft that restores flow while wirelessly and continuously diagnosing stenosis in animal models. The self‑powered magnetoelastic vascular graft (MVG) converts blood‑flow–induced mechanical forces into magnetic signals, enabling remote detection of narrowing without external power. Teams validated biosafety and functionality in rat and pig studies and demonstrated continuous, real‑time detection potential. If translatable to humans, the MVG could change vascular surgery follow‑up and enable earlier, less invasive interventions for graft failure and stenosis management.
