Scientists from the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) have developed the first automated high-throughput platform to analyze transfer RNA (tRNA) chemical modifications across thousands of samples. This technology propels the field of epitranscriptomics by enabling comprehensive mapping of RNA modifications influencing gene expression and disease progression, notably in cancer and infectious diseases. The platform promises to accelerate biomarker discovery and therapeutic target identification by overcoming previous bottlenecks in RNA modification profiling.
