Longevity startup NewLimit raised $435 million in a Series C round ahead of planned first-in-human testing for its lead liver reprogramming approach. Founders Fund led the financing, joined by Thrive Capital, Lilly Ventures, and additional institutional and individual backers, bringing the company’s valuation to roughly $3.1 billion. NewLimit said it will initiate a Phase 1 trial next year, starting with patients with fatty liver disease and expanding into alcohol-related liver disease in later-stage development. The company reported that an earlier screening platform rapidly produced a candidate after unexpectedly compelling preclinical data, with the drug delivered via lipid nanoparticles carrying multiple mRNAs designed to reset regenerative capacity in older livers.
