In a strategic move linked to Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia has launched its National Biotechnology Strategy aimed at transforming the Kingdom into a regional and global biotech powerhouse. The plan emphasizes end-to-end vaccine manufacturing, advanced biologics production, expanded genomic databases, and innovations in plant biotechnology to enhance health equity, sustainability, and economic diversification. Vice Minister Abdulaziz Hamad AlRamaih highlighted regulatory reforms, fast-track clinical approvals, and invites for global partnerships to establish a digitally empowered, integrated biotech ecosystem.
