Samsung Biologics signed a $262 million manufacturing agreement with an unnamed European pharmaceutical company, with production commitments scheduled through 2033 at Samsung’s Songdo site in South Korea. The company said the agreement increases its cumulative contract value beyond $21.9 billion. The deal underscores Samsung’s continued emphasis on long-duration capacity planning amid biologics outsourcing growth. Samsung also highlighted its existing capacity footprint—845 kL across Korea and the US—and pointed to its recently acquired Rockville facility as part of its global production network expansion. The company separately reiterated pursuit of additional portfolio diversification and referenced an all-cash offer to acquire PolyPeptide Group, which—if completed—would broaden its manufacturing capabilities into peptide-based therapeutics.
