Takara Bio USA partnered with SPT Labtech to automate parts of its next-generation sequencing library preparation workflows using the firefly liquid-handling platform. The companies will initially optimize select SMART-seq workflows and plan broader expansion across RNA-seq, DNA-seq, and immune profiling kits, targeting high-volume labs that need standardization, reproducibility, and smaller footprints for automation.
