Roche struck an exclusive global licensing agreement with Simcere Zaiming for SIM-0660, a preclinical trispecific antibody designed to engage T cells while targeting B-cell markers CD79a and CD19. Roche will fund development, manufacturing, and commercialization worldwide, and Simcere is set to receive up to $1.5 billion in total milestone-linked payments. Roche’s deal economics include a $75 million upfront payment plus development and commercial milestones. The platform combines a CD3-engaging arm with two B-cell-binding domains, aiming to drive targeted T-cell killing of pathogenic B cells while reducing cytokine-release toxicity that has challenged earlier T-cell engager programs.
