Medical Microinstruments (MMI) raised $125 million in Series D financing to expand the reach of its Symani Surgical System and explore new microsurgery applications. The company also outlined an experimental approach that includes investigating microsurgical treatment for Alzheimer’s disease, extending its platform beyond existing surgical indications.
