ABL Diagnostics secured CE-IVD registration for multiple molecular tests covering HIV-1, respiratory pathogens, and viral meningitis. The French company also amended an equity line and share loan arrangement tied to controlling stockowners to adjust drawdown terms and trading safeguards. On the product side, ABL’s DeepChek Whole Genome HIV-1 Genotyping v1.2 assay is designed to amplify HIV-1 from blood for antiviral resistance mutation assessment. Its UltraGene Respiratory Pathogens 21 multiplex real-time PCR assay differentiates 21 viral and bacterial targets from nasal swabs, and the UltraGene Viral Meningitis assay covers major viral meningitis pathogens from cerebrospinal fluid specimens. ABL CEO Chalom Sayada said the financing update aims to balance continued access to capital with improved shareholder safeguards and transparency. The regulatory move broadens ABL’s diagnostics footprint while the financial update reduces uncertainty about future funding mechanics.
