Ultragenyx agreed to sell a second rare pediatric disease priority review voucher for $203 million, bringing total voucher proceeds to $413 million within a week. The sale follows the FDA’s recent approval of FAYUVI (rebisufligene etisparvovec-hopf) for mucopolysaccharidosis type IIIA (Sanfilippo syndrome type A). Ultragenyx previously sold a voucher earned from GENGLYCOS approval for glycogen storage disease type Ia for $210 million, demonstrating how the PRV program is being used as a non-dilutive financing lever. The company said monetizing the voucher supports its objective of reaching profitability while advancing rare and ultra-rare pipeline programs.
