Chemolab Therapeutics and Scipher Medicine agreed to merge and rebrand as Scipher Medicine Corporation, focusing initially on advancing nebokitug, an anti-CCL24 monoclonal antibody for rheumatoid arthritis. The companies plan to push the program into Phase 2, with a topline readout expected in the first half of 2028. Nebokitug’s planned trial will use standard FDA RA endpoints while employing Scipher’s PrismRA blood assay to guide patient enrollment based on predicted TNF inhibitor nonresponse. Scipher previously partnered with Savant Bio to build an RA clinicogenomic dataset tied to PrismRA. The merger structure gives Chemomab pre-merger holders about 32% of the combined company and Scipher holders about 68%, with Northpond Ventures-led investors committing about $30 million to fund operations through mid-2028.
