Roivant’s brepocitinib (Lisraya), developed for dermatomyositis, cleared the FDA hurdle in an approval that establishes a new oral option for a disease long managed primarily with high-dose steroids and other immunosuppressants. The therapy is positioned as a once-daily pill targeting JAK1 and TYK2. At the same time, Roivant’s strategy extends beyond dermatomyositis: additional rare immunological programs are already in development, reflecting continued investor and payer interest in oral pathway inhibitors for diseases where treatment options are limited.
