Lucid Genomics partnered with Genetic Alliance to expand access to advanced genomic analysis for underserved patients suspected of rare disease. Under the collaboration, Lucid will share its AI-powered platform for sequencing data analysis with the network’s participating laboratories. Genetic Alliance’s rare disease program provides free clinical genomic testing through 26 clinical sites and nine diagnostic labs, including in low- and middle-income countries. Lucid said it will contribute its software in-kind to reduce the costs often tied to genomic interpretation tools, aiming to redirect resources toward testing. The agreement highlights how AI-enabled interpretation platforms are increasingly being positioned as “infrastructure” to lower barriers to rare-disease diagnosis.
