Expedition Therapeutics raised $115 million in a Series B financing led by General Atlantic, positioning the company to expand clinical development of EXPD-101 in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Expedition said the first patient has been dosed in its Phase 2 COPD study and that the funding will support Phase 2 execution alongside pipeline and platform growth. The program targets neutrophilic inflammation via DPP1 inhibition, which Expedition frames as a key mechanistic driver across COPD patients. In Phase 1, the company reported that EXPD-101 was well tolerated with no dose-limiting toxicities and supported once-daily oral dosing. The financing adds to the momentum of “precision inflammation” approaches in respiratory disease, where investors are increasingly backing assets tied to defined inflammatory phenotypes and repeatable biomarker rationale.
