Takeda reported Phase 3 psoriasis data for its AI-designed oral drug zasocitinib (TYK2-targeting), claiming it outperformed Bristol Myers Squibb’s Sotyktu in a head-to-head comparison. The company said more than 35% of patients achieved total skin clearance at 16 weeks, versus a response rate of about 2.5 times lower for the Sotyktu comparator, with separation evident as early as week 8. Takeda positioned the results as de-risking a potential FDA filing in coming months and noted improvements across key secondary outcomes, including PASI 90. The data add pressure to the oral psoriasis segment as companies race for quicker onset and higher clearance in pivotal readouts.
