The Global Neurodegeneration Proteomics Consortium released one of the world’s largest dementia-related protein datasets containing about 250 million protein measurements from over 35,000 samples linked to Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, frontotemporal dementia, and ALS. Analyses revealed disease-specific plasma biomarkers and common protein signatures across diseases, advancing understanding of pathways that could inform diagnostics and targeted therapies. These findings highlight collaborative efforts to untangle neurodegeneration biology through large-scale proteomics.
