McKesson signed an all-cash agreement to acquire Precision Medicine Group for about $2.25 billion, aiming to expand its oncology and biopharma commercialization capabilities. The deal brings Precision’s biomarker intelligence, laboratory services, clinical research organization functions, market access consulting, and commercialization support into McKesson’s services footprint. McKesson positioned the transaction as a way to better bridge discoveries to market—particularly by strengthening clinical trial execution and broadening service offerings as demand grows for end-to-end development partners. The acquisition is pending customary regulatory approvals and will fold Precision into McKesson’s Oncology & Multispecialty segment upon closing.
