Chemolab Therapeutics and Scipher Medicine announced plans to merge and rebrand as Scipher Medicine Corporation, aiming to advance nebokitug, an anti-CCL24 monoclonal antibody, toward a Phase 2 rheumatoid arthritis trial. Under the merger terms, Scipher investors are expected to hold 68% of the combined company, while Chemolab holders receive about 32%. The Phase 2 plan is designed to use the company’s PrismRA blood-based assay to guide patient enrollment, connecting a target (CCL24) with a biomarker strategy meant to identify responders to therapy. Scipher also described its AI Network Medicine work identifying CCL24 as a top therapeutic target and a potential response signature. The merger includes commitments from current Scipher investors totaling about $30 million and is expected to fund operations through the second half of 2028.
