Burning Rock Biotech said it will expand its global approach to homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) testing by deepening its agreement with Myriad. Under the expanded collaboration, Burning Rock will add the prostate Genomic Instability Score (prGIS) algorithm to its myChoice HRD Plus assay and will develop new HRD tests on its OncoScreen Plus platform. The move broadens Burning Rock’s algorithmic and platform capabilities within HRD diagnostics—tools commonly used in selecting therapies in oncology where BRCA-related pathways may drive treatment response. For labs and companion diagnostics operators, the announcement highlights ongoing efforts to adapt validated HRD frameworks to local testing ecosystems and platform variations.
