Nova Biomedical acquired certain NanoCellect assets to expand its cell line development portfolio, adding microfluidic cell sorting capabilities used in gentle cell selection and isolation. The acquisition brings NanoCellect’s WOLF G2 cell sorting platform into Nova’s upstream bioprocessing toolkit, which the companies say complements Nova’s Solentim clone generation, verification, and growth analysis workflow. Nova positioned the integration as a connected platform spanning cell sorting, clone isolation, verification, and analytical control points including BioProfile FLEX2 and other monitoring instruments. For CDMOs and biomanufacturers, the move signals ongoing consolidation of workflow technologies to reduce turnaround times and increase decision confidence in cell line development.
