Single Cell Discoveries (SCD) completed the acquisition of TATAA Biocenter, expanding capabilities across target validation and assay development. Terms were not disclosed, but the deal combines SCD’s discovery transcriptomics strengths with TATAA’s qPCR/dPCR and GLP/GCLP-compliant bioanalysis. The integration is designed to reduce handover fragmentation—moving from discovery-grade single-cell and spatial insights to regulatory-ready validation outputs within the same organization. SCD and TATAA said existing customer projects and workflows would continue with unchanged contacts. For drug developers leaning on fewer vendors across longer timelines, the “discovery-to-validation” consolidation can shorten iteration cycles and simplify quality-system requirements.
