FairJourney Bio opened a new cryo-EM structural biology facility in San Diego to expand its antibody discovery capabilities with atomic-resolution services. The site includes two ThermoFisher Titan Krios 5 systems within a 300 kV cryo-EM setup and is designed to enable native-state structure determination of antibody-target complexes. FairJourney said the services launched in January 2026 and are embedded into an end-to-end antibody discovery and biologic development workflow, from epitope mapping to structure-guided lead optimization. The expansion reflects a broader push to bring structural biology earlier into candidate selection cycles—shifting cryo-EM from a late-stage confirmatory tool to a discovery-stage decision engine.
