Parse Biosciences and Nomic Bio announced plans to build Cascade, a 100 million-cell foundational dataset intended to model the human immune response. The partnership targets pharma and biotech users seeking cellular and protein-level insight to improve immune target discovery and validation. Cascade is described as a multimodal perturbation resource that pairs single-cell RNA-seq profiles with proteomic secretome readouts over multiple timepoints. The dataset will incorporate 100 million single-cell RNA profiles and more than 11,000 proteomic secretome profiles, covering responses to over 150,000 cytokine and drug perturbation conditions. The collaborators said the dataset is already attracting foundational partner commitments from companies including GSK, Pfizer, Sanofi, Graph Therapeutics, and Turbine. Parse will generate the RNA-seq data through its GigaLab service, while Nomic will produce secretome measurements via its Omini 1000 platform. Parse and Nomic positioned Cascade as an antidote to a perceived data bottleneck for immune perturbation modeling—an emphasis on measuring immune signaling and its protein outputs at scale, not just transcriptomic snapshots.
