Parse Biosciences and Nomic Bio announced Cascade, a planned 100 million-cell foundational dataset designed to model the human immune response for drug target discovery. The project combines large-scale single-cell RNA-seq with Nomic’s proteomic secretome profiling across thousands of perturbation conditions. Cascade is described as a multimodal, perturbation dataset capturing immune-cell responses over multiple timepoints. It will pair 100 million single-cell RNA-seq profiles with more than 11,000 proteomic secretome profiles, covering responses across over 150,000 cytokine and drug perturbation conditions. The dataset is being generated through Parse’s GigaLab and Omini 1000 proteomics platform. Parse and Nomic said foundational partner commitments already include GSK, Pfizer, Sanofi, Graph Therapeutics, and Turbine. For biopharma, the dataset targets an explicit bottleneck in multimodal immune modeling—building predictive “virtual cell” approaches by aligning transcript and protein readouts from the same immune responses.
