Roche has signed up Dualitas Therapeutics’ Dualscreen Bispecific Discovery Engine in a deal structured around screening more than 300,000 bispecific combinations for potential synergy in immunology and inflammation. Dualitas will receive $36.5 million in upfront payments and is eligible for additional development and commercial milestone payments plus tiered royalties, with total deal value cited as up to $1 billion. Dualitas’ discovery engine is designed to identify bispecific antibody pairs that outperform the individual components and their separate combination benchmarks when tethered together. The program focus spans immunology and inflammation conditions, aiming to improve next-generation bispecific differentiation. The Roche–Dualitas deal also follows Dualitas’ own early investment cycle and launch of the technology, with the partnership serving as the first major validation signal for the engine at scale. For Roche, the transaction reflects continued modality expansion in immunology beyond single-agent antibody constructs, using high-throughput discovery to refresh next-gen franchises.
