Molecular Devices and STEMCELL Technologies have announced a validated automated workflow for human intestinal organoid culture on the Molecular Devices CellXpress.ai system. The collaboration aims to reduce hands-on time and experimental variability while improving consistency and scalability for organoid-based research. The companies say the workflow supports automated culture, monitoring, and analysis using STEMCELL’s IntestiCult Plus organoid growth medium, with protocol materials available as a downloadable implementation guide. Molecular Devices will develop and validate automated workflows, while STEMCELL provides tissue-specific biological science for performance criteria and functional characterization. The announcement marks the first milestone in a broader effort to automate STEMCELL’s organoid culture kits on CellXpress.ai, targeting faster adoption of advanced cellular models across drug discovery, disease research, and translational biology.
