GSK is ending development of camlipixant, a P2X3 receptor antagonist acquired in its $2 billion Bellus Health deal, after mixed Phase 3 results in refractory chronic cough. The company said the limited efficacy seen across two studies makes the drug unlikely to transform patient care, and it will stop pursuing the indication while maintaining other development activity in the program.
