GSK and Hansoh reported a phase 3 overall-survival win for risvutatug rezetecan (ris-rez), a B7-H3–targeted antibody-drug conjugate in advanced or relapsed small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) in China. The companies said the study met its primary endpoint versus standard-of-care chemotherapy, with a “manageable safety profile,” while refraining from disclosing detailed results in the release. The partnership also reinforces GSK’s “priority asset” stance for B7-H3 programs. Outside Greater China, GSK is pursuing additional ris-rez studies across multiple tumor types, including planned late-stage work in extensive-stage SCLC expected to read out in 2027. For Hansoh, the phase 3 outcome sets up an approval push in China, while for GSK it adds additional clinical evidence to a target that is described as highly expressed in SCLC. The move underscores continued Big Pharma appetite for ADCs where target density and survival differentiation can be demonstrated.
