A Johns Hopkins team reported Phase 1 evidence that a peptide-based KRAS-mutant pancreatic cancer vaccine can generate antigen-specific T-cell responses and slow progression of pancreatic lesions in high-risk participants. Published in Cancer Discovery, the study evaluated six common mutant KRAS (mKRAS) variants in 20 patients with genetic predisposition and confirmed lesions, with mild, self-resolving side effects.
