A retrospective Chinese study reports that adding the PD-1 inhibitor tislelizumab to paclitaxel–carboplatin and bevacizumab significantly improved response rates and survival in patients with recurrent cervical cancer. The work also tracked immune-related markers alongside clinical endpoints. The results expand the evidence base for chemo-immunotherapy intensification in a disease setting where durable control remains challenging, particularly after initial treatment failure. The study’s emphasis on both efficacy and immune biomarker changes may help inform how future trials stratify patients and monitor pharmacodynamic effects.
