A prospective PSMA PET/MRI study reported that 18F-Flotufolastat imaging detected prostate cancer recurrence at the onset of biochemical relapse in 25% of scans, rising to 57% on repeat imaging within a year. The result frames PSMA PET/MRI as a dynamic timing-dependent tool for early recurrence detection after radical prostatectomy. Separately, a retrospective analysis connected circulating cell-free DNA to ovarian cancer detection and prognosis, reporting strong separation of cancer from benign lesions and controls with prognostic value. Together, the readouts add fuel for integrating molecular and imaging signals into earlier, more granular triage—especially where biomarker-positive but imaging-negative cases create management uncertainty.
