The companies will integrate Discovery’s clinical lab network and biospecimen resources with Biocartis’ Idylla PCR platform, which produces biomarker results in about three hours. A key near-term priority is replicating Discovery’s rapid KRAS testing program from Kassel, Germany, into Discovery’s Newtown, Pennsylvania facility, using harmonized Idylla workflows to support comparability across the US and EU. The partnership targets companion diagnostics and clinical trial assay support, including custom assay development. For trial sponsors, the deal is structured around rapid molecular testing plus access to prospective and banked biospecimens, aiming to reduce time-to-enrollment and speed biomarker-driven patient allocation.
