Bristol Myers Squibb reported Phase 3 results showing its CELMoD mezigdomide, added to carfilzomib plus dexamethasone, cut the risk of progression or death by 52% in relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma in the SUCCESSOR-2 study. Median progression-free survival more than doubled to 18 months versus 8.3 months in the control arm. In parallel, Pfizer disclosed detailed Phase 3 TALAPRO-3 data evaluating talazoparib (TALZENNA) plus enzalutamide (XTANDI) in HRR gene-mutated metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer. The combination reduced the risk of radiographic progression or death by 52% (hazard ratio 0.48), with estimated 77% rPFS at three years. Both readouts add differentiated, biomarker-led combination strategies to oncology development pipelines, while continuing to sharpen how companies position next-line regimens around durable endpoints.
