The effort is organized as an “AI factory,” designed to shorten the drug development cycle. BMS Chief Research Officer Robert Plenge said the company has already reduced the length of its process by 20% to 30% using AI tools, while Nvidia is already supporting similar arrangements with other large pharma players. The expansion signals that compute-heavy AI deployments are becoming a core capability in mainstream pharma discovery operations, not an experimental layer.
